PTA is no longer a noun - it is a verb! #PTAforyourchild
Welcome to Palmetto Elementary School! We are happy to have you as a part of our school community. We are “Building Bridges Together!” and invite you to take this opportunity to become a member of our Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Together we are #virtuallyunstoppable
Your PTA Membership dollars help provide academic resources and enhancements for programs like Accelerated Readers and our Science Enhancement Curriculum. In recent years, our impact has also been seen in very tangible ways, ranging from water filters, new technology, new basketball and PE courts, and a complete overhaul and upgrade to our Media Center. Together with the district, our PTA also installed a new walking track. Last year, our PTA helped fund the installation of safety resources and ran a successful fundraiser to bring air purifiers and filters to our classrooms. We also launched and will continue to fund the Teachers Pay Teachers Program to provide school access to online and digital enriching resources for teachers to use with our students. We are currently working on bringing new spirit wear and spirit items to our school store, working on the beautification of our pavilion, and improving a rear school area with new trees, foliage, tables and benches with the intention of providing an additional recreational space that can serve as an outdoor classroom to conduct activities in a safe, natural environment. Our PTA does amazing things! Our success is only possible because of how the community comes together and because of its continued support.
Your PTA membership also includes you in our country’s largest volunteer child advocacy association, National PTA, which reminds our nation of its obligations to children and provides parents and families with a powerful voice to speak on behalf of every child, while providing parents tools to help their children be successful students.
Don’t miss your chance to become a supporting member of this wonderful organization! Anyone can be a member – parents, grandparents, community members. Membership is not tied to any volunteer commitments, but rather a way to show your support for the programs and events the PTA provides.
