through PTA we become family

Welcome to the Palmetto Elementary School family! Each new school year brings excitement and anticipation, along with the promise of learning and growth. As a parent, one of the best ways to become involved at Palmetto Elementary is through the Parent Teacher Association (PTA). 

Your PTA Membership dollars help provide academic resources and enhancements for programs like Accelerated Readers and our Science Enhancement Curriculum. In recent years, our impact has also been seen in very tangible ways, ranging from water filters and new air purifiers and filters in all the classrooms, to larger items such as new basketball and PE courts, the installation of a new walking track in our PE field and a complete renovation to the Palmetto Elementary Media Center and this year we're able to give a complete overhaul and upgrade to the School Cafeteria! 

Over the last two years, our PTA has funded a large-scale beautification project of the school’s outdoor spaces, which includes new astro turf, newly planted trees, orchids, tables and benches and the addition of natural playground elements in the outdoor play areas. This project offers our students and teachers a safe, natural environment where they can learn, recharge and engage with each other in new ways.

We also launched and will continue to fund the Teachers Pay Teachers Program to provide school access to online and digital enriching resources for teachers to use with our students. We continue to work on increasing school pride by bringing new spirit wear and spirit items to our school store. Our PTA does amazing things!
